The banking intermediary function of the Bank DKI also continued to show positive growth, where in the first quarter of 2020, Bank DKI credit was recorded at Rp32.38 trillion, growing compared to lending in March 2019 of Rp31.55 trillion. This was conveyed by the Director of UMK Credit & Sharia Business of Bank DKI, Babay Parid Wazdi in his written statement in Jakarta (30/04).
Babay Parid who currently also serves as Finance Director of Bank DKI said, "lending is supported by loans in segments that still recorded growth as in the MSME segment which grew by 10.26% (yoy), from Rp1.52 trillion per March 2019 became IDR 1.67 trillion as of March 2020. Overall credit quality was also well maintained as indicated by the Net NPL ratio of 0.48% as of March 2020. "
Although he still recorded positive growth, he still observed the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on Bank DKI's financial performance and debtor's ability to meet its obligations. In response to this, Bank DKI also provides relief for credit installment payments or relaxation to customers affected by the corona virus (Covid-19). This credit installment relief is in accordance with the rules in the Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) No. 11 / POJK.03 / 2020 concerning economic stimulus as a countercyclical policy.
In terms of Third Party Funds, Bank DKI still recorded good growth where the Third Party Funds of the Bank DKI as of March 2020 were recorded at Rp33.47 trillion, still growing 3.09% compared to the Third Party Funds of Bank DKI as of March 2019 which was recorded at Rp32, 47 trillion. Growth in deposits was mainly driven by savings growth, which grew 6.82% from Rp7.57 trillion as of March 2019 to Rp8.09 trillion as of March 2020. Bank DKI also continues to strive to increase deposits by encouraging the use of the JakOne Mobile application for customers and prospective customers . With JakOne Mobile, opening an account or deposit online with more attractive interest and can be done without having to visit the Bank DKI service office.
As of March 2020, the total assets of Bank DKI were recorded at Rp46.24 trillion, growing 2.31% compared to the same period the previous year. The various business activities carried out have driven an increase in profit of 1.51% up to March 2020 to Rp183.95 billion.
In addition to financial performance, Bank DKI has also just been determined to distribute dividends of Rp285.95 billion in the 2019 Annual Financial Annual General Meeting of Shareholders held for the first time last weekend. The amount reached 34.99% of the net profit that was successfully booked by the Bank DKI in the 2019 fiscal year amounting to Rp817.23 billion.
